GAMEPLAN: April 2008
“Schedule & Orientation”

Dear Friends and Fans,

   It’s go time!
If you’re new here, welcome! You’ve joined us at a very exciting time. Our number of Teammates has
topped one hundred and many of our leaders and veterans are in place. As of the publication of this
edition of Gameplan,
Phase One of the Amateur Pre-visualization Production of The Lion King: Circle of
Life has begun. In this phase, our Character Design (CD) Team and Storyboard Taskforce (SX) will be
the most active, setting the stage for everything to come. Both teams will be drawing from the screenplay;
CD will be passing their work along to SX, the Sketch Team (SK), the Lines Team (LN), and the Colors
Team (CL); and SX will pass their work on to SK, Backgrounds (BG), and the Speaking (SP) voice
acting team for construction of a dialogue script.
Here’s the current roster of the leadership of the project:

Project Director: CJ “SkySoldja” Webster

Art Division Lead: Lauren “Dille”
Animation Division Lead: Abigail “Astro” Woods
Music Division Lead: Mathew Schmidt
Voice Division Lead: Susanna Bennison

Basically, our current priorities are filling in our leadership gaps, solidifying our roster (I still have
some people that haven’t confirmed a team or teams they want to participate in) and fully activating our
Phase One teams: CD and SX. If you’re on either team or would like to help out in either Character
Design or Storyboarding,
email me and let me know. And as these are two teams that don’t have captains
yet, anyone interested in leading these efforts should email me ASAP. In the meantime, Dille (the Art
Division Lead) and I will be managing these teams by ourselves, which makes it harder for us to do our
other jobs. So don’t be shy, potential leaders!
As you may have noticed, the website has undergone some big changes, and needs more work still.
Keep checking the
Circle of Life page for weekly (hopefully) updates and clean-ups. Check our roster
pages to make sure you’re on it, with the correct information and proper teams. Contact me with any
changes. If I haven’t already done so, I’ll get you in contact with the Division Lead(s) and Team Captain
(s) you’ll be working with, and get you plugged in to the effort. Thanks so much for all your volunteer
effort! Catch you later!
