hopeful future cinematic feature based on the story. While this site, its administrator and users are in no way officially sanctioned

contribute in a positive manner to the quality of the Studio's works, our faith in this story's potential, and love of the Studio's past
works of animation, especially the various components of the
Lion King saga, compel us to create a forum in which to pursue
our dream.

This is the main story, beginning a year or so after the events of The Lion King 2: Simba's
Pride.
Here you can find the screenplay to both the 2007 Version and the 2005 Version
(where Zoay had wings, Jothra was grey, and Timusa wasn't even Kovu and Kiara's son).
This is also the home site for the Amateur Pre-vizualization Project, which is the volunteer
effort to turn the 2007 version of the story into a webcomic, a Gifcomic, and eventually an
animated feature. The hope is provide a pre-vizualization for Walt Disney Animation Studios
to use as a starting point for a theatrical release based on the story, and a full life fan fiction
in the meantime.
The Cubs' Quest short stories (or 'episodes', as they're sometimes called) take place just
after the
Circle of Life screenplay, and they have recently been slightly tweaked to fit with
the 2007 rewrite of that story. There are currently two that are fully written and published,
with an established outline for up to six more. The first story, "Serengeti Sky", features
eight original young characters stranded far from home. The second story features fan
favorites Tanabi and Kopa, and is named, aptly enough, "Long Lost Legacy".
Starting with the third ("Sunlit Kingdom"), original characters from some of the most
celebrated artists on the Fan Art Archive will enter the stage, including some of their
'fursonas'. The remaining episodes are titled "Talons of the Fisher King", "Shadow of the
Swift", "Bonde cha Jana na Kesho" (Valley of Yesterday and Tomorrow), "Battle for Pride
Rock" and "Destined One".
Since the story was first posted on the fan fiction page on lionking.org in early 2005 (then
still called
Legend of Destiny) it has attracted a steady flow of fans. Many of these fans have
added their own work to the story by leaving comments, providing illustrations or even
animations. This section archives everything done for the story that's not directly used in
the amateur pre-viz project, including everything done for previous versions of the story.
This section also includes stories by CJ Webster
for some of those fans about their
characters.
